Press Release
Clark County, Washington State, May 1, 2026: Ave Lamb Books, a Catholic Publishing Company, launched today. New author Randy Hude has teamed up with his wife, established Catholic illustrator Adalee Hude, on this venture. Initially, they will publish their own Catholic children’s books with a long-term goal of expanding from there. “We really don’t exactly know what we’re doing,” explained Randy, “but if it is God’s will, He will make it succeed, for His sake.” Adalee adds, “We were called to serve the Lord by creating our own engaging Catholic children's books… we had been putting it off for a long time, but He pushed us to finally begin.”
Randy and Adalee’s first book, The Oil and the Asking, was also announced today via their Substack newsletter, “Hail, Beautiful Lamb.” Set largely in 1860’s France, The Oil and the Asking tells a fictional tale about a real devotion- that of the Holy Face of Jesus. Told through rhyme and vibrant pictures it should delight parents to read and children to hear and see.
A limited number of pre-orders are being taken this month through the Ave Lamb Founder’s Circle, a fundraiser to cover the printing costs of the book. Future opportunities to order this and other exciting Ave Lamb books will be offered in an August Crowdfunding Campaign.
